STEVE PETTIT MEETINGS SEPT. 12TH – 17TH            

     You are invited to join us for these life changing meetings with Evangelist Steve Pettit and his team. 

     Evangelist Pettit is widely known as a strong Bible preacher, emphasizing revival and evangelism.  He has conducted over 800 campaigns, crusades and camps throughout the United States and has preached in 14 foreign countries over the past 24 years.  Having worked with teenagers for 32 years, he has a special burden for young people and their problems.  He spends the summer serving as the camp director at Northland Camp & Conference Center in Dunbar, WI.

     Steve Pettit is a native of Columbia, SC.  He was converted to Christ at the age of nineteen while a freshman at The Citadel, the military college of SC.  He surrendered to the call to preach, and upon his graduation in 1978, he enrolled at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.  He received a Masters degree in Pastoral Studies in 1980.  After serving as the youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, MI for five years, he began traveling as an evangelist.  In 1997, Steve received three honorary Doctorate of Divinity degrees from Bob Jones University, Northland Baptist Bible College and Ambassador Baptist Bible College.  He and his wife Terry have four children and a son-in-law.

     The meetings are geared for the entire family.  Beautiful music is provided each evening by his evangelistic team, who has over fifteen professional recordings.  Ben Lamphere will conduct a special teen program called the “Cola Wars,” and Mark Egerdahl will conduct a nightly children’s program called “Spy Games 2010.”  The public is welcome to share in the excitement of these services each evening.  The church is located at 1138 W. Bluelick Rd., Lima and the Pastor is Jim Neighbors. 

     There are two children’s church classes designed to meet your young persons spiritual needs.  One is for the 4 & 5 year olds and the other for 1st – 5th graders.  Currently, for the older children, we are teaching through the Bible with “Boot the Mule”.  Boot and his friends help to drive home the lesson taught from the Bible with a fun skit.  Each week a variety of songs, storytelling, question and answer time, pledges, review and offering help our young people learn relevant truths equipping them to face the battles of life with a godly sweetness.
